Low Voltage DC Power Tester?
Dave says it looks like a Microwave that had an idea!

Low Voltage DC Power tester thing.. that happens to look like a TV and or Microwave 😀
What to some looks like a Mini TV, and others a Mini Microwave (that’s had an idea). This is in fact just a thing I knocked up for those 3.42 times in your life, when you wonder if a DC PSU is up to snuff. 😀
Well, I don’t know about you, but if a 40 year old says 1.4amp 9v, I’d often wonder if it could really meet the spec.
Now the convoluted way of checking would be to dig out a multi meter and check, a lazier way is to plug something in, that could display approximately what’s what.. and rather than risking yet another brown out on an old 8bit, test it on a safe and practical load.
Introducing a car side and break light bulb!
I dunno about you, but hasn’t everybody got a ‘soap on rope’ bulb to testing things? Ok, it’s just me.. but I do have a bulb and some wires for testing ‘power’ old dodgy old circuits, just like I did in my CB radio days. If bulb goes dim, expect buzzing ’10-4 good buddy etc’
Anywho, with the help of a terrible video I cut down from hours to 15mins and a few pics (and .STL file), you too could have a bulb that can get a lot hotter than you’d expect ready to burn you pinkies! ;D

Image shows a lot of things: Display type, wire lengths and how to fit the switch!

The only wiring you can't see is the two tails from the bulb going to the outer pins of the switch. The switches middle wire pop's off to chassis on the left.
As you might be able to tell, I’ve ‘bunged this page up quick’. Luckily Dave over at Tynemouth Software has also done a blog post on this, so you might want to check that out to fill in some of that gaps!
.. Do leave comments on my Youtube video btw! Will be interesting what you humans think!
